The Citation Code Practice

Practice exam

Your starting-point diagnostic

Two original multiple-choice questions per foundational subject. A small starting sample to guide practice, not a readiness assessment.

How it works

  • The questions sit on the right; a question with a file shows it on the left, where you can highlight it and hide it.
  • Strike out answer choices, flag questions, keep a note for each one, and move with Next, Back or the navigation bar.
  • Review and end shows what is answered, partly answered and flagged. Ending the section shows every answer, its explanation and the book section that teaches it.
  • No account needed. Draft answers stay in this browser. You can choose to sync practice results or submit an assignment result from your workspace.

On the bar exam, citation form is not what is graded: NCBE's sample performance-task materials say citations are not required. This practice adds citation work because every memo and brief you write after the exam needs it.

Free. No account or card required.

The Citation Code is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE), which develops the NextGen bar exam. Every question here is original, and results are practice feedback, not exam scores.
