Lookups and a checker that complement the handbook. They identify patterns and names; the handbook teaches the judgment. The underlying datasets are Free Law Project's open reporters-db and courts-db, pinned by commit and credited in the footer.

Every citation is parsed into components, Id. and short forms are resolved to their antecedents, reporter abbreviations are checked, each form links to the chapter that teaches it, and case citations can be verified against CourtListener.
