How to cite state session laws
Cite a state law as enacted to the state’s session laws, in the state’s own form: usually the year, the session-law volume, and the chapter or act number.
Use session laws for an uncodified act, for the enactment itself, or for an amendment the code has not absorbed yet.
The book’s Table A gives each state’s session-law form, and the New laws feed applies it to bills enacted this month.
