Exam scope and dates

NCBE lists eight foundational subjects through February 2028 and adds family law beginning July 2028. Family law and trusts and estates also appear as skills contexts in the earlier period, with needed legal resources supplied. Our subject labels are broader study categories; an item count does not demonstrate complete coverage of the official outline.

Read NCBE's content scope, official preparation resources, and current exam and jurisdiction information. Scope sources checked October 23, 2026. Confirm your jurisdiction's own dates, eligibility, accommodations, and additional requirements.

How to interpret your results

Multiple-choice responses are compared with authored answer keys. Written responses use automated rubric matching and model answers, not a human examiner. A phrase match can miss reasoning or context. Review the explanation yourself; written-answer credit is not a validated estimate of exam performance.

Practice analytics show the latest recorded attempt for each question. Repeating a question does not increase the unique-question count. The free diagnostic contains two multiple-choice items per foundational subject and is too small to establish readiness. No pass probability, scaled NCBE score, cohort percentile, or pass guarantee is offered.

The five simulated sections use a three-hour practice format. The combined nine-hour set is a practice collection, not a reproduction of the exam's administration schedule or official software.

Content provenance and quality status

The questions were authored for Citation Code and its companion study bank. They are not licensed NCBE questions and are not copied from competitor courses. Question records carry internal rule-topic identifiers and explanations. Those identifiers are not proof that a legal proposition has been independently reviewed.

This release does not claim an independent attorney audit of every question, statistical calibration, or proven bar-pass outcomes. Software checks can establish that a key is well formed and a practice session works; they cannot establish legal accuracy. Report an ambiguous, outdated, or incorrect item with its question ID so it can be reviewed.
